Worship and Word

Worship is important to us because it is important to God. Jesus said “his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24). Worship encompasses every aspect of our lives. The purpose of worship at our church is not just about music and about what takes place within a service. It’s about living a life of worship- at our jobs, our relationships, our finances, the way we spend our time and the communion of an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Join us in celebration gatherings Sunday mornings at 10AM and in home groups throughout the week.

“Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of God’s mercy to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship.”

(Romans 12:1)

Prayer

The Greek word most often used for the word “prayer” in the NT is proseuchomai which combines pros meaning “movement towards” and euchomai which means “face”. Therefore prayer means coming towards God face to face, a love relationship with our God. That is why we believe that prayer is the foundation of everything we do. Prayer groups meet once a week at various times to pray deepening our relationships with the Lord and each other while producing God’s love for our world. The prayer “focus” each week devotes prayer both inwardly and outwardly for our community. As the Holy Spirit guides and teaches us how to pray, we pray together in unity and oneness.
